The title says it all, as I continue to read the bible and learn, I ponder how to fight against my daily sins. Living today where instant gratification is the rule and not the exception, I have learned the Bible teaches, (Galatians 5:16-25) to walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. This means choosing to consistently follow the Holy Spirit's prompting in our lives rather than following the flesh, what I refer to as instant gratification. When I catch myself in sin, I immediately attempt to ask for forgiveness of my sin, I take it as being prompted. By reminding myself immediately it keeps me aware of performing God’s will. One could take it as right from wrong and or good from bad behavior. Taking this journey and learning one step at a time, I rely on the scriptures of the Holy Bible.

The Holy Bible is my rule book, the first rule “that you follow the rules”, seems simple enough right? Actually following the rules is how I overcome my daily sins, asking for the Lord's forgiveness, and striving to lead a righteous path. How does one accomplish this challenge? Myself, I read the Holy Bible daily to increase my understanding of God’s Will, have daily prayer, and ask questions to myself about my words, actions and thoughts. I’m not saying this is the answer but, it’s clearing a path to a closer relationship with God.
