“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.” (Matthew 7:15)
Over the years in my life, I have witnessed countless false prophets and I ask why do they exist, why would anybody mislead others in the teaching of the scriptures of the Holy Bible? To begin with, what is written in the scriptures of the Holy Bible is the only true Word of God; any human attempt to change or distort God’s Word is false and is a departure from the truth of God’s Word and His Righteousness. The Holy Bible is complete and it will not lead one astray, therefore if one is teaching anything but God’s Word, it is considered false doctrine. Why do such false prophets exist; pride, greed, and rebellion are a few reasons, however, you can point them out, in Matthew 7:16-20 we are told “You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.”
False prophets have existed since the Garden of Eden, as Satan convinced Eve to take fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (Genesis 3:1–4). These false teachers try to appear as servants of righteousness, it is every Christian’s responsibility to recognize them and remind them of the work approved by God; “Remind them of these things, and charge them before God not to quarrel about words, which does no good, but only ruins the hearers. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness (2 Timothy 2:15-16).
My thorough belief in the scriptures of the Holy Bible and accepting Christ as my Savior gives me reason to call out the false prophets and hold them accountable. Although we may be born into a sin nature we must work each day to overcome such behavior and devote ourselves to the Word of God. While many Christians strive to live by the Word of God, society can make one become apprehensive of doing God’s Will. “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived (2 Timothy 3:12-13). As Christians we must ask ourselves in our daily lives are we doing God’s Will or are we deceiving ourselves? Not only should we hold false prophets who seek to deceive accountable but, we must hold ourselves accountable according to the scriptures of the Holy Bible. We should not be apprehensive or fearful in leading a Christian life, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).
My project is devoted to the Word of God and to reach not only those who do not know Christ Our Savior but, to remind those who do, to remember the words of Christ Our Savior “If anyone’s will is to do God’s will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood” (John 7:17-18).
